Prize fund calculator
« on: June 26, 2008, 12:44:58 AM »
Does anybody have a program that will calculate prize fund options for league play.  I was asked to do this, but plan on taking the easy way out. Thanks for any help.

Prize Fund = (Bowlers per week)*(Amt. Paid - Amt. for lineage/other fees)*(number of weeks)
--------------------
High Sanctioned Series: 750
High Sanctioned Game: 300 (x2), 290 (x2)

He is a Nebraska fan so that is about the extent of his math abilities.  Honestly, I'm impressed he got that far.

I wrote a little text-mode program that spits out prize funds.  Any number of teams, handles special achievement awards, and it's got a virtual knob that you can turn to pay out heavy to the top or more evenly.

Geez Shelly that sounds like a useful tool...care to share?  All of the prize funds I've created are just based on a distrubution curve and some data manipulation.

Anyone who wants it, send me your e-mail address and I'll send you the program and instructions for using it.  It's pretty basic but it does the job.

I can't take credit for the ones that I have.. They were actually given to me by BallReviews members.. One is a DOS format and the other is an Excel spreadsheet..

Shelley: Care to share yours, and I'll send ya mine?? For all I know, I may have gotten the program from you originally??

Goof: Send me your email address and I'll send you the ones I have..
