7-10 nightmares
« on: February 09, 2010, 04:26:09 PM »
For the 7th consecutive week in my tuesday night league, I have left a pocket 7-10.  Most were plaques but one was a wrap.  Just thought I'd share the humor

i share the same pain, for the month of nov and dec 09, i averaged about 1.5 7-10 splits per league, i bowl 2 leagues.

the worst one came in the following way:

front 6, 7-10 split, turkey, solid 10

i was soo pissed off

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

I have left a solid 7-10 in the 29th frame of what should have been a 30 clean set. Sigh.

And one tournament I bowled in Reno - there were 6 games qualifying with moving 2 or 3 pairs each game. Started out game 1 with a solid 7-10.
Then I started out game 2 with a solid 7-10.
then I started out game 3 with a solid 7-10.
At this point, wagers were flying behind our starting pair. It was Reno, after all.
I started the 4th game with a solid 7-10.
I started the 5th game with a solid 7-10.
I started to leave on the last game - but the 7 kicked out.

Amazing.

10 years ago in Dayton, OH at the JOG qualifying tournament at Beaver-Vu Bowl, I left four 7-10's in a row during a game, I covered the 3rd one by rolling the 10 pin off the sweep after it bounced back onto the deck and managed a sad 191 for the game.  I bet if the YABA was keeping records of this, nobody could beat my four left in a row.  Equally terrible about the game was the other 3 guys on my pair of lanes shot, 279,279, and 258.

I feel your pain. It's a rare night when I don't leave the pocket 7-10.

I understand when it appears to be a bad shot, but it's a bummer when everything looks good... and wham! It hits ya right where it hurts.

My worst 7-10 nightmare came in a tourney, had front 10 and then pocket 7-10.  You want to talk about being p.o.'d

I went 7-10 and off the sheet a few times.
I also had the front 10 then a 7-10
A 7-10 once cost me an 800. (791)
How about Matt Freiberg's 7-10s today in the Masters Qualifying...lol

once i went 7-10 and back 11
then one time i went first 7 strikes then back-to-back solid 7-10's.
and i dont mean normal weak 7-10's, i mean solid, run-it-out type of shot 7-10's xD
