question for lane1
« on: April 17, 2008, 07:14:39 PM »
dont get me wrong i like lane 1 equipment.....if ending static wts are so important, why do you make every ball with no less than 3oz starting top wt...this way everyone would end up with pos top and pos side....you wouldnt have to say driller drilled ball wrong and made it end with bottom or not enough side wt and thats why it puked...noone would have to send ball back because they didnt like it, it may save you money in the long run...just a thought..

well you have a point there...
but for examply my driller always gets "PANIC" when I bring him a ball with more than 3oz tw

"How can I drill this?" (I know the guy is not the top notch but he knows his stuff and together we found good layouts for me the last few balls)

MY H2O had 4oz top
My machine had 3.5
MY XXXL even had 4.5

all balls run fine with 1oz top and some sideweight after drilling...

Do they not run fine with less top and some negative side?

I can try it with my XXXL as I am getting a new one... will drill an X-hole to take it to 1/2 neg sideweight... just for you Nick

Though I don't believe the thing will show a big difference

plus the thing wit static weights I aggree with you... I was just telling "my story"

Weight Head at bowling ally- "Hey I brought my ball with the cg negative."

Me- "Can I see that? Hmm you don't have a weight hole. How much Neg. side is in that?"

WH- "About 1/2 ounce Negative."

Me- "You wont see any reaction difference from that ball with the same pin placement and the same positive cg movement.'

WH- "What, you don't know what your talking about."

Me- "Would you like me to show you?"

WH- "What you gona drill up two balls to show me?"

Me- "NO I am not going to do that. However I will do this."
{pull out laptop and turn it on and show the cg no matter videos from Nick.}

WH- "You mean to tell me this means placement means nothing."

Me- "When it comes to reaction no it doesn't matter. However if you want to watch this video, you can see what does matter."
{Show him Fun with weight holes video.}

WH- "Wow, my ball is drilled wrong. Is there anyway we can get me some better reaction?"

Me- "Come step into the proshop with me and lets see what we can do."

Another Weight Head who has taken the RED PILL, and left the Matrix of static weights affecting reaction.

You could have saved alot of space by simply saying "CGNOMADDA" or "static weights NOMADDA".
