AMF XTREME ball
« on: January 29, 2016, 07:44:11 PM »
Saw a ball  for sale that is an AMF XTREME but does not have the ORBIT logo on it.
Does this ball have the same weight block?  Looking for a smooth rolling ball without the hockey stick reaction.
Thanks in advance for any info.

They had a line of plastic balls with the Xtreme name. They were an offshoot from the BOOGIE line of plastic balls, and picked up the Xtreme tag when they ran some with wilder colors and called them BOOGIE EXTREME, which was later shortened to take the E off the extreme term, and then later the boogie was also removed, leaving them with the name XTREME. It went like this:

1st was BOOGIE
2nd was BOOGIE EXTREME
3rd was BOOGIE XTREME
4th was XTREME

SO, if it is one of those, it is just a plastic ball with a pancake in it.

That's what I was afraid of!  I don't need another Pancake ball.
Thanks for the real info.

Just read your info on the boogie balls. I picked 1 up with the oo of the boogie word that looks like 2 Bowling balls. It also had a little dancing figure after the word boogie. I have seen boogie balls that say boogie on them with a guitar and the oo in boogie does not look like bowling balls. Might you know which version is the early boogie ball in the AMT line & about the year produced. Thank You
