Suggestions for my Mega Friction? I love this ball, but it is getting so scarred I need to think about a replacement.
Does anyone make particle bowling balls anymore?
Extremely predictable, never overreacting, low maintenance bowling ball!

Closest thing in our line at the moment is the Eon Infinite, or an Eon with the surface knocked down to 2000

It's not particle, but I'd recommend a Motiv Forge. Smooth and strong. And like all Motiv products, low maintenance.

Particle balls now go by other names like nano, NRG, microbite, carbon fiber infused, etc due to black eye they got on longevity back in the day.

Donuts...This ball is probably 10 years old and has 500 games on it. What are you talking about when you say high maintenance? I let mine lane shine(approximate 4000?) and I clean it right after bowling, but honestly I don't think I have ever resurfaced it.

TL;DR don't consider them high maintenance (like my epoxy ball) but wouldn't consider them low maintenance either. Some of them do need scotch brite touch ups to perform optimally and some had questionable longevity and would pick up all kinds of crap off the lane. Cleaning after every session definitely necessary.

Give Lord Field or Lane Masters a shot. They still make Particle balls and call them that.

As a former AMF lover and Mega Friction owner, the Motiv Trident Abyss would be the perfect ball to switch to.

It is surprising I cannot find a low rg, medium differential symmetrical particle ball. I assumed they would be plentiful. Bad assumption! I did pick up a forest green quantum. Hopefully that will take the mega frictions spot.

Forest green is my go to heavy oil ball as well. Good choice and good luck.

Ok here is your medium diff symmetrical particle ball. It is a 15 pound Visionary Granite gargoyle..it is found here http://www.reconditionedbowlingball.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=72_91&product_id=2112
However it is not new..but only drilled once and plugged and ready for drilling. You could check this out and see if the cover looks fresh enough for you.

Own both and feel like the Forest Green can handle more oil than the Granite but Granite is little more versatile especially on fresh medium house shot. Forest Green significant step up imo (can handle any flood I have seen). Both are good balls.
