I just picked up a nib Red Reactive Hammer. It had a half an inch pin. I track right at the middle finger hole, so I had the pin put just a bit below and right of the ring finger. I'll usually place the pin higher but this was the best I could do this time. The ball does flare about 3 inches, but it flares very late. The result is that the ball rolls over the middle finger hole half way down the lane. Other then aesthetics, does this affect the ball reaction in any way?
