S.C. State Tournament
« on: April 29, 2007, 12:07:04 PM »
Just home from my first state tournament.  Bowled 2283 All Events Handicap.  Anyone else bowling in this tournament?  The lady with 103 average that shot 600 sets each time is still listed in the lead.  Go figure!

Well, needless to say i was highly dissapointed in my performance.  I ended up like +120 something scratch, far below the 230-whatever avg i went in with.  We bowled at Ashley Lanes first, and i'm not the one to get upset over lane conditions, but our pair was unfair.  Anytime anyone got the ball right of 8-10, the ball ran over the 6 pin.  I got 3 off the right one time along with some other teammates that did it mutiple times, while other pairs had free hook out there.  We weren't happy.  I managed to come away with a 660, feeling pretty good.  Ritchie Allen shot like 750, with no one else shooting over 550.  Trying to play off of him was fun.

Anyway, on to singles and doubles where i really blew balls.  I guess, i struggled on the wet/dry wallshot they had. 2-0,2-0,2-0 throwing 4-5 different balls with 1 open frame.  Next came doubles, i bowled with Ritchie, who just shot back to back 290's(last game singles/first doubles), that was awesome, and the shot really broke down and forced all of us way left.  I missed a spare and threw some bad shots and some great shots to manage a 650-something.   We finished like 140 over for the two us, not enough.  I was p-o'ed, feeling how easy the shot was and how bad i scored.  Thought i threw it ok with a little lack of carry and consistency.  Rithchie finished up like plus 400 WWWWWWWWAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY ahead of me, but it was fun and we'll prob bowl next year too.

She has been DQ'ed.  Her name & scores still appear on the lists but she will not receive any awards or money.

Thanks OZZY FUDD I knew she was to be gone but when I saw the leader board I did'nt think the powers to be had followed through.I am glad she has been DQ'ed.I think it's only fair,I can understand having a good day but I think those scores were a little over the top.

Seraph the lanes are great at star lanes you will love them.
