Title: Sawbones is in the Hospital

Dad has had some discomfort for several days and hasn't been able to go the the bathroom.  Friday, he went to a doctor and was told the go on in to the hospital and have some tests run.  Well, knowing dad, he refused and went home.  On Sunday morning, the pain was too great for him and he was taken to the ER.  They did a barium enama and can see sever blockage and will be having a scope this morning to find out what has caused the blockage and then will decide where to go from here.  

He's being sedated for the pain and is really out of it and sleeps most of the time.

Please keep Dad in your thoughts and prayers.

Leave it to an old doctor to not follow the advice of his physician.  I hope he gets to come home shortly and everything is ok

I hope he gets well soon and next time you see him, tell him you love him..

I lost my dad in 92 and my mom just a few months ago and its been tough..

My point is, make sure to appreciate them while they are alive and well and don't take anything with them for granted..

Hose,

As with everyone here, please tell your father that I send along my best wishes for his rapid recovery and a painless and healthy exit from the hospital.

Please also remind him that, while his current temporary absence must be felt at every one of his local golf, bowling and social hangouts, he is also sorely missed here; so much so, that ballreviews.com might very well not survive without him.

He helped me greatly during both my Heart attack and Kidney Stones. Hopefully they find the problem quickly, and it is only minor.

Im more of a lurker than I used to be but I always reads Bones posts. I love his insight and his thought process when it comes to bowling. While I dont know you personally Bones---GET WELL SOON!!!

I called 'Bones yesterday.  We only spoke a few minutes, but he sounded pretty good.  I hope he can get home by Christmas.
