Scotchbrite Vs. Sandpaper

Is there a big difference when altering the surface of a particle ball?  Example:  If I am taking the surface of a particle ball to 600, is there a difference when using Sandpaper pads compared to using scotchbrite pads?

Scotch-Brite used to be better for fine tuning the surfaces of particle balls. Something to do with what material was used in the particles. Particles used today seem sturdier. Don't know this for a fact, though.

Another advantage with Scotch-Brite pads is that they don't affect the beveling of finger and thumb holes as much as plain sandpaper does.

Per Tom Tomaras of Brunswick, you can use either one on Brunswick Balls. I can't speak for the other companies Balls.
