Aura vs Nightmare
« on: November 11, 2012, 12:35:10 PM »
I threw these yesterday at a Demo Day. I'm looking  to add a ball to be able to carry ten pins  when I have to move deeper on the lane when they begin to dry out.
 1. Which would be better for this task?
 2. OR----should I get one of these as the main ball and save my other balls for when they dry out and adjust that way???
Thanks in advance for all replies...

nd300, Either one would be a good choice for a heavier oil ball. The DV8 Nightmare is slightly stronger overall compared to the Brunswick Aura. Both of these balls are very clean through the front part of the lane and have the strongest backend reaction in each line. I would suggest using either one as your main ball and adjust as the lanes start to break down. Depending on your speed and rev rate, you might go change surface on either on to match up to the lane conditions. Good luck with your decision.

The better question is, since you've thrown them already, what was your opinion? The demo day should have allowed you to test them out as you intended so which performed better when you moved in?
