Senior High Average
« on: April 06, 2018, 11:26:00 AM »
If it often that a senior has the high average in a fairly competitive league ? Just wondering what does that say about the younger bowlers. Its in a house  that is known for making you earn your average. He's averaging 220. Just curious what others seniors are averaging. Thanks

I averaged 223 when I was 68 on a pretty soft house shot.  Lots of 230 averages in that league.  I was high average in sport leagues several times in my early 60s.

We have several seniors here that average 225 to 240 on house shots and they are from 65 to about 73.

One has several eagles, in the ABC hall of fame, and can still easily shoot 1800+ at nationals.

At 75 years old, Nelson "Bo" Burton Jr. averaged 226 for 69 games between 2 leagues.  For the last decade he's been around 230.  Pretty remarkable and something to aspire to.

We have an ABC Hall of Famer who averages 223 in one of our leagues. He's about 65 I believe! Most other seniors are in the 205 - 215 range.

Some people just can’t do things like this.

 Some can.

 Skill and talent.

Some have one, some have the other.

A few have both. These are the people you can’t explain.

 They do some amazing things.

Like average well over 200 when they normally shouldn’t be able to.

 They just can.

ex-PBA Mike Miller had the high average in the Albuquerque, NM area last season,  averaging 241 for 56 games.
