bowling with a ball thats made for your hand
« on: November 29, 2010, 08:23:26 AM »
my teammate gave me a ball, hammer black widow this past weekend in my bowling league. the ball did not fit my hand so i had to get it plugged. but my teammate is a leftie and im a right handed bowler. could i still throw with it even though its made for a leftie or would it be better to just get it redrilled for my right hand?

well it all depend in where your new holes are gonna be ...
the good thing is that 99% of the times when you got a LH ball plugged to re drilled for rh the track its gonna be in good shape...
so YES you can still throw it...
nowadays bowling balls cores don't lose too much weight like in the past.
the dynamics of the ball don't change a lot compared to 90's balls and the weight its gonna be like 2 oz lighter but not a big deal

it does not affect a lot... let say the ball was 15.3pz before plugging now its 15.1 after a normal drilling for 1 1/4 slug and 31/32 grips the ball should end in the high 14''s like 14 13 oz

i threw a 238 with this ball in my first practice game last night. after a while i struggle with it possibly because of the weight of it. i never did ask about the weight of the ball. also i got a 202 with it after a few more practice games last nite. should i stay with it like it is or should i still get it redrilled for my right hand?
