   So, I was sitting here doing a little work listening to the radio
and the "Jim Rome Show" comes on and he spends nearly 10 minutes trashing
"bowling."

Same old same old stuff said....

...not a sport...for dolts....drunker you are the better you bowl...if you
have a high average that just meeans your a loser spending too much time
in a bowling alley...etc....venom,,...spit,...drool...

Eff-n jerk.....

i will always be a jim rome fan...been listening for 6 years across three different am stations.  its nothing more than entertainment to me.

Jim Rome could rant all he wants, but his show doesn't hold a candle to Pardon The Interruption with Mike Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser.

I love Jim Rome (MOST of the time) and I LOVE this sport; I figure that, in this case and on this subject, we have to agree to disagree.

My comments are based solely on the fact that I don't respect him and I do not like his show. I do exercise my right to state my opinion of him and also my right to not listen to anything he is involved with. I have a choice and my choice is to turn the dial.

Rome always trashes bowling.  So what.  I listen for the entertainment value for what it is.

He probably CAN'T bowl, so that's why he bashes it so often.

I would like to see him tell Jerome Bettis to his face that bowling isn't a sport.  That'd be priceless

Anyone see the blurb in Sports Illustrated a week or two ago?  Willis McGahee is addicted to bowling, has his own equipment and is averaging about 174.  Maybe McGahee and Bettis could give Romey a few lessons
