Crank because of span?
« on: March 02, 2006, 07:32:36 AM »
I have been hooking for a while, and have had Pg reactives for the same amount of time. On my most recent ball change, I got my ball fitted for fingertips. This would be my first, so the guy in the pro shop drilled it a little small (span wise). Well, my hand has grown. The span on the ball was my conventional size already, so I got the new management to redrill it for me. The funny thing is, I had promblems with cranking before (at least my teammate says it's a bad thing). I would be shooting, then cranking out of nowhere. Anyway, I was just bowling on the new drilling, and I found that cranking, even if I try, is pretty hard. I'm not sure if I'm a stroker or a tweener; I haven't been paying attention, but I'm doing it now, and doing a lot better (550 series on my just-barely-140 average). My question is, why did I start cranking when my span got small, and why did I stop when it was resized?
thanks,
