sorry to hear that. expect the oil to move around like crazy, causing burnt heads and huge carrydown.

I was told the shot wouldn't break down and stay the same, some center in Topeka i heard was the worst in the area and they got it and they have the highest scoring center in the midwest region.

it sucks, this house around here got one and like revo said burnt head, my weakest ball would pick up at the arrows then just roll straight.

Also this house that got it, the wood lanes would track your ball out pretty bad, but now since they got this, it makes tracking out even worse. I threw one game on it and there were BRAND new nick marks around my ball.

I've bowled at that center in Topeka quite a bit (I live here, lol).  When the lanes are fresh, yes, it's easier than I previously thought possible, BUT Rev-O is right, oil moves on that stuff like you wouldn't believe.  It's INSTANT, there's no "oh, my mids are burning a little, better move left."  You go from pocket to big 4.  I always thought it held up ok as long as you don't have 5 man teams going at it.  I haven't seen that it carries down that bad, but the track burns fast and it burns hard.  Lol, and it wasn't the worst in the area, it was actually the second best in my opinion.  3rd best I should say, actually.  The 2nd best just got tore down, lol.  Anyway, the lanes before they installed laneshield carried down, now they burn like crazy.  I think the general concensus is that it sucks, and it does.  They're gonna have to install synthetics here in a year or two.

I wonder if Dirtbikebowler is bowling on laneshield or if they just put down guardian instead.  Big difference.  My equipment never tracked up on laneshield.

Our house was the first to get laneshield east of the Mississippi.  Took a couple of months to put out a shot but after that it held up surprisingly well.  We didn't get the oil movement like a normal systhetics.  Seem to play close to AMF synthetics, backends weren't quite as strong.  I believe this is the 5th or 6th year the house has the laneshield in.  Scores are definately better than the old worn out wood, not as good as some of the synthetic houses around the area.

Hardest thing for me to get used to was not being able to pick up a down lane target.
