Things in today's game that may be concidered obsolete
« on: July 24, 2006, 02:52:53 PM »
A list I thought of in today's bowling world I would concider either not nessesary, a burden or something that would hamper one's game:

Wrist Supports
Gloves
Bowling Towel
Urethane Bowling Balls
Finger Grips
Thumb Inserts
grip tape that is non textured
Drilling a ball 2" to PAP
Bringing 4 balls to a late shift league
Easy Slide
Switching balls in the middle of a first game
Using the arrows and only the arrows
Not dropping the shoulder
Overly beveled thumb slugs
Taking more then 12 seconds on the approach
Backup ball
Over extended knee bend with slow rolling hook
Relying on the down and in shot from first arrow
Using the waxing machine you put quarters in
Bowling alley lockers
Drinking Budweiser
Smoking Doral Cigerettes
Driving a Ford from the years 1980-1995

anything else?

I much prefer sliding to breaking my leg or landing on my face at the foul line.  Sorry about that, but that's the way it is.

You prefer someone else sliding or breaking their leg?
