Slickest bowling shoes?
« on: August 12, 2022, 09:29:44 AM »
I am currently using Dexter 9 with the 12 sole and the slickest heel but stick stopping on a dime in my center. Any recommendations for another shoe that would be slicker?

Try taking the heel off completely before you buy a new pair.

Try asking someone who has an s8 sole for one of the older sst style shoes and using it in place of the heel. You often see the pros using this trick. Another thing to try is putting a piece of felt on some Velcro then trying that on the heel.

One thing to remember is cleaning the heel can make the “bite” on the lanes more violent. A dirty heel will usually give a more gradual stop.

I would be very wary sliding on a shoe with no heel as it ruined the Velcro on my friends pair of sst6’s

Try staying on the front of your foot longer before dropping the heel?

You can also round off the leading part of the heel.
