Sliding soles

I have been having an issue sliding lately and can't find the solution. I generally use a dexter s10 silde. However, when the s10 slides too much I am having trouble with the s8 not sliding at all. I never had that issue with the old s8 but since they changed it I can't find anything in between the s8 and s10 which for me is a huge gap. Is there another pad I should try that might fit. Whether from Etonic or 3G or whatever just need to find something in between.....

AHA!!!

Thanks to the above posts, I now know what happened to me last night. Somehow, I must have stepped in some water with my left foot (I am righthanded) during the 10 minute practice session prior to league. Knowing I had to hurry, I grabbed a nice new S8 sole out of my bag, cut it to size and slapped it on. No way would it slide properly. I rubbed it on the approach, on the carpet, on the tile and finally got it a tiny bit more slippery. I managed to struggle through the three games, all below average and left wondering what was going on. Now I know, and wish I had purchased a bunch of S8 soles last year.

By the way, one of the Etonic shoes has a three section sole on the sliding foot so one can use any combination of the three sets of soles they give you. Easier than cutting up Dexter soles, but I do not like the fit of the Etonics I tried.

Now what?

Haven't had a need for the 8 in a while.  But I wonder if the Etonic 8 has more slide than the Dexter 8. You can use the Etonic slide on the Dexter shoe and might be a solution??

Just to clarify, I picked up a new microfiber #8(new packaging) and it was perfect!

Just a touch more slide than my old style #7.  DId they tweak the formula from the first batch of #8 Microfibers?  Maybe.

But mine!  New packaging!  Perfect!

PS now I hope they tweak the #10 new batch to be less slidy as the #10 from both Etonic and Dexter is too slippery even with a rough application of my brush.
I believe this is now microfiber and not felt like the old and very acceptable #10s.

I've been wanting to try this sole for a while but never did. It is bowlingball.com's version of the old leather S8. According to the reviews, it seems to work well.

I have the 3G tour ultras and the best part is the "cleated" sole with different combinations you can make with the cleats. I never use a whole sole anymore, I just change cleats. Best slide on anything...maybe you can do something similar.

I purchased one of those and they are perfect.  They are a tad bit thicker, so should last longer.
