So my league starts in a week. .
« on: September 19, 2005, 03:00:24 PM »
. . . and tonight I'm gathering up to go out for our weekly practice session with some friends.

"Hmm. Bag isn't where I normally put it, must be in the car yet."
"Hmm, not in the car. Oh yeah, someone else drove last week, must have left it in their car."
"Hmm, not in their car either. This isn't good, I better call the alley."
"Damnit, not their either."

So after going over every place I've been in the last week where the bag would have been, I've come up empty. Either I left it at the lanes, and someone else walked off with it, or it dissapeared from at the same time as my roomates cell phone from our living room a few nights ago. So I'm out one Roto-Grip Silver Streak, a columbia White dot, and a ten year old pair of Dexter SST4s. I have the ball S/N's, and plan to drop them off at all the local alleys/proshops tomorrow, and do a pawnshop crawl.

Though the shoes where ten yeras old and falling apart, and one ball is now two years, and the other only $50, I'm not all that angry, (Though I'd still like put whoever jacked them in the stockade for a few nights for being a dirty thief) I'm looking at replacement options tonight. I'll just buy up another White dot since they're cheap, and haven't been discontinued in the last three months. But I'm stuck looking for a replacment for the Silver Streak. I liked the Roto Ball, and would go with them again. Would anyone be able to tell me what to expect from their current mid-price line vs my old Silver Streak? Like which one would be snappier, straighter etc. . What would I gain by jumping up to the high performance line?
