Tenpin On TV

What would you have on an telecast for the finals of a bowling event? There seems to be so much debate as to what format the finals should take in order to showcase more bowlers / more personality / more 'gimmicks'. What would be your formula?

For me, I would like to see:

* A local bowler throwing on the condition being used to show the challenge level involved

* An introduction / Q & A style session with one of the newer bowlers on tour interspersed with them bowling on the lanes with one of the legends of the game, bridging the young - old, rookie - veteran gap.

* In The Bag - Some basic explanation of the equipment each player is using, and the effect it will have (Not too technical, but more This Storm Trauma will give him longer skid before making the move, for an earlier reaction Bowler X may switch over to his Shock Trauma etc)

Just a few thoughts, any takers?

I think those two would be a good start. I like the "What's in the Bag" thing where the pro could shed a little light on why and for what reason he/she chose the ball they did.

Yeah, good ideas to start. Also, maybe have the bowlers talk about how the lanes played, how they matched up with equipment/layouts/etc.

That would be kinda neato =)
