Title: Spare Ball/Plug Questions
Post by: oracle3410 on November 15, 2004, 10:19:38 AM
I had an old weak reactive resin ball that I had plugged and re-drilled.  my span increased a bit, so about 1/3rd of my thumb hole intersects with the plug.  for the second time in about 6 months, the plug has cracked.  it might have something to do with the change in temperature, but should plugs last longer than this?  i'm thinking so.

if I need to get a new spare ball, I need some suggestions.  i want something, that if i put my hand into it, can move.  i hook into everything on the left side, (i know, i should learn to shoot straight, but it's just easier for me to swich balls, and adjust my speed going up the 5 board to get my spares).

will a white dot move if coerced?

You might want to look into some of the clear balls that they have out there. I have a snuffy and can get it to move 2 boards more than a white dot I used to have. Might want to look at old urethane also, as i have a gold angle that hooks about 2 more boards than the snuffy does. Both go straight enough when directed that i have no problem throwing straight at all my spares.
