No more sink for my spinner
« on: April 25, 2014, 12:40:03 PM »
what do you all use with your spinner if you don't have a sink?

I need some ideas that doesn't cost much and it doesn't require me to "build" it.

(The sink in the garage is gone to make room for shelves and a compressor.)
Does a round object have sides? I say yes, pizza has triangles..

I use a big plastic tub I got from Home Depot. It's rectangle shaped and large enough for the entire spinner to sit in. It also has a lid, so it keeps everything nice and neat.

I keep an extension core in the tub. My entire set up is on a rolling rack I got from Home Depot. They have a small two shelf rack and you can get rollers for it instead of the adjustable feet. The spinner and tub sits on the top shelf and all my pads, polish etc is on the bottom shelf. I can move it around and even do most of my resurfacing outside on the deck.

The tub with lid, two shelf rack and rollers will be less than $100

This is what I have

Although mine is a bit wider. I have the Ebonite Powerhouse spinner and it fits right in the sink.  Think I paid arounf $25 for it a long time ago.

Got pix? That sounds like a good idea.

I was looking for something I can move around and for storage too. I got rid of most of my supplies and just kept a few things like Siaair pads, black magic cleaner, and valentino supplies now...some inserts, slugs, and sanding disc/bevel sander and other smaller tools. I need all these things organized.

That's what I had too. And next to it was a 4 drawer locker (like a gym locker) where I kept all my supplies and extra bowling stuff I don't use..including bowling balls lol.

It looks really similar to this:

The one I have didn't cost near as much though. I think I paid around $65 or so, but it's been a few years. Same idea though. You will have to assemble it, so make sure to keep the top level low enough to use the spinner.

I use a plastic tub with a lid.  It sits on an old small refridgerator that I put all my supplies in (It's not plugged in).  Keeps everything nice and neat.  I do like the look of that sink tub, and the height would be better.  Right now I have to stand on a stool, but I like the storage of the fridge, and that everything is enclosed when i'm done.

Have a cabinet the spinner sits on and the hung a shower curtain liner around 3/4 of it...and I have an apron.
