Sprayers, Fligers, Wall bowlers, Nothumbers and such....
« on: January 21, 2004, 08:43:12 AM »
Let me start off by saying I've been throwing the ball like CRAP! lately.  Release problems, timing problems, consistancy problems, and spare shooting.  So tonight I'm bowling on a pretty easy walled up shot practicing and not taking score and after about 45 minutes of coaching and figuring what's wrong with me I fix it and throw about 6 out of 8 good shots.  Now that I have my release back to normal where it should be I pick up a friends ball and since it doesn't fit my hand I throw it two handed/no thumb with a ton of speed and revs.  Boy did I generate a huge angle with it.  I always did this style of release among my friends and all for kicks but seeing it actually work(and throwing 6 out of the next 10 strikes with it) alot of people told me that my motion looks so natural and fluid throwing the ball that way that I should bowl with this style all the time.  I'm starting to think so too.  I can even play different lines and angles with pretty good accuracy as well.  So while the wall is present I'm going to start taking advantage of it just like my post's title says.  So what I'll fit into that category that you elitists hate, I'll be scoring alot better, increasing my carry percentage, and now that my spare game is back I'll be dead accurate on all single pins and double wood(assuming that I leave any throwing it 18+ mph with a 500rpm revrate, lol ).  I'll keep you guys posted on how it goes.
