Weird thing, I noticed on here that staffers have a very biased opinion and they seem to talk up balls that I and alot of people I know have tried that turn out to be big turd balls. Balls that either die very quickly, hit like a huge wet mushy peice of poop, and the covers are not versatile at all. It can be all of the above situations or one of them. They always act like its the best ball since sliced bread. Here is my question, are they talking up the ball becasue they are biased or, they never throw other brands balls that are in the same position thus, they dont know any better?

Because if they said Ball A is the biggest POS ever, that wouldn't sell anything and they would be dropped from staff position...

Probally correct! The way I see it is, be truthful or dont say anything at all. It seems a little shady to recomend something to someone that goes out spends their hard earned money on it for it just to turn out to be the biggest P.O.S.!

So in other words, everyone I know is a house hack and every ball made is a GREAT ball?????

There really aren't many bad balls made these days. There are bad drillings, wrong surface selections and overall bad match ups.
PBA players have higher ball speeds, higher rev rates and in general bowl on higher volumes of oil so the ball that hits like a wet noodle for you may not read at the arrows on a PBA condition and therefore may be effective.
If you are just coming to the conclusion that people who endorse bowling balls or anything else for that matter may be a bit biased toward the company writing their checks, then you have lived a somewhat obscured reality for a great many years of your life.

Truth be told the best ball to use in almost all of the Northern Va. chain walls would be a Scout or a Power Groove. Most any balls that are stronger than those mentioned above are a waste of money. Considering that stronger equipment will over-react (or woefully underreact) to the wet dry walls you see.
It is foolish to assume that a ball company staffer would do anything but promote their respective brands.
AS stated before there are very few bad balls produced today. But when used on the wrong condition any ball will roll like poop.
I would however recommend you to heed the advise of your local pro shop guy who knows where you bowl and will give you an honest assessment.
Get off of the big dot there are 39 other boards to throw from...

Of course the ball rep is gonna recommend his company. Does your GM dealer try to sell you a ford?
On another note, I think most good ball reps can make almost any ball work. I don't wanna brag about myself, but I have only owned one ball that I would not recommend. I'm very versatile and can play any line. And also alter my speed and release greatly. But thats just my 2 cents on the situation
