Does anyone have experience with local amateur tournament "franchises". I am not up to the scratch level, but would like to try some tournament bowling.

Almost every weekend here in Las Vegas there is either an ABT (Amateur Bowlers Tour) or NABI (National Amateur Bowlers Inc.) tournament. Looking at their info, there are other events like these around the country.

I was just wondering if anyone else has experience with these "tournaments" and if they are worthwhile. Also, would one be better than the other.
