Staffing updates and changes for 2022-23
« on: September 20, 2022, 04:34:04 PM »
Motiv announced earlier today that AJ Johnson and Wesley Low will be staying with the brand.  Johnson signed a 5 year extension which covers him through the 2027 PBA Tour season.  Motiv states that making multiple TV finals, qualifying for the PBA Playoffs, international medals with Team USA and winning at the Chris Paul Celebrity Invitational all played a role in the extension.

Wesley Low signed a 2 year extension which will take him through the 2024 PBA Tour season.  He is noted to have shot a 900 using an Alpha Jackal, made 2 National Tour shows and became eligible for the TOC with his 1st regional title.

Other than those extensions, I haven't seen any major changes for the upcoming season so far.

Regardless of staffing changes, it will be interesting to see what the PBA Tour itself looks like.  There has been some chatter about changes to the number of events, etc.

Marshall Kent is no longer with Big Bowling and Big Bowling is no longer product registered with the PBA (link).

Tommyboy74 - ***SUPPOSEDLY*** that is not true with Kent. Supposedly he has signed, but not with Storm.

My good friend who has not been wrong in the past about staffers moving told me...we shall see.

I'd like to see the Brands of Brunswick pick him up.  It would be good to have a younger guy represent one of the brands.

Pitch Black vs Purple Hammer vs Blue Tank/Tank Blitz

I'd be curious to see him with Motiv for the Tank series alone.

Kent bowled the regional at EJ’s place this weekend. I bet it’s Motiv.

Let's not forget that EJ and Marshall are doubles partners.
