I thought the bowling on TV today was GREAT! I was routing for the winner since the very beginning! Love his style ..don't want to say too much at this time!

I recorded it so I could skip the commentary and just watch the bowling. I also mute it because I can not stand the constant cheering.

The matches over all were very good.

My wife isn't a fan like I am, and even she was like "Why are all those aholes being obnoxious?"

The only way to watch the PBA Playoffs.

I like the current presentations on FS1 and fox better than what espn was doing...however, I don't care for the crowd noise allowed during all parts of the shot, nor do I like that they have crowd bleachers running all the way down the lane...I like the "old days" where the crowd was quiet during the approach and shot until the result of the shot came about....I don't know how the current pros do it, but I would find the crowd noise and the fans seated all the way down the lane a bit distracting.

This only occurs at Portland Bowl. Other shows don't have all of the noise

Constant noise isn't as bad as a sudden unexpected noise, but I'm not a big fan either.  I did notice in the first game, on one of Billy's bad shots, in the middle of his approach, a fan most of the way down the lane started waving a really big banner sign.  Billy would probably never say anything, but that had to throw off his concentration big time.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, production was good, really like all the new Specto powered tid bits they have incorporated, and maybe because i'm young, but the high energy crowd really reminds me of any big time sporting event in a good way. I hope this helps builds momentum.

My parents had stopped by my house when it was on and stuck around and watched a bit too, they don't bowl, or follow bowling, but both found it pretty entertaining for their time around FWIW.

I remember the 98-99 season. Why did they stop after that season?

Love the cheers and noise. Why does bowling have to be so damn stuffy?

What's stuffy about this show? Plenty of cheer and noise, once the ball is let go.

The crowd can hardly contain itself with each strike getting louder and louder:

I think there is this drummed up illusion that fans didn't used to cheer for bowling. It's simply not true.

Yea, and the crowd(and players) should be able to smoke during the competition...  ::)
