Hoffman will most likely be pick for a two year term again. Haynes will probably be picked too and Rhino may have earned a spot by winning his gold medals earlier this year.

Because if they don't they will have to bowl again next year to get selected again. If they bowl this year they get a year added on. Also it's the only way to have a chance at bowling in the world cup, since you have to win this tournament to be eligible.

I think the surprise of the tournament will be Rose Brown.  She looks very, very good.

Team USA is comprised eight men and eight women. The top five men and top five women finishers at the USBC Team USA Trials automatically qualify for Team USA. The National Selection Committee then selects three men and three women as “at-large members” to complete Team USA. These at-large members are selected from the remainder of the field competiting at the USBC Team USA Trials and bowlers exempted from competition by injury.

Thats not true ... its only the top 4 men and women that are guarenteed spots.  There are going to be 4 at large members this year

i guess during the orientation there was talk of pros bowling in next years tournament..

Why shouldn't Pros be allowed to be on Team USA?? This is a step in the right direction as far as I'm concerned. Everyone's goal should be to be a Pro and bowl against the best. The way it is now, you can be amateur, make money, bowl against predominately weak fields at the megabucks and represent our country, all while maintaining an "Amateur" status.

I'd rather have the best there is (PBA) representing the USA at International competitions instead of someone a "committee" picked. The line between Pro and Am is so blurred right now, Why not just allowed everyone to bowl and let the best rise to the top. This is just my opinion, I could be wrong....

thats the goal this year of USBC  is to have the FIQ vote on the rule to allow proffesionals bowl for country teams. this past year i guess it was missed by one vote.. and that was because every asian country voted against it. i'm sure it will pass in the next couple of years..

I saw that also in the selection process section, but when you look at the rules.

They have changed the selection process and number of members.
