Well, I was on a hot streak tonight. So close to getting my first 300. This happened in my 2nd game tonight where I doubled, 9/ (solid 10 pin), then thew 9 in a row for a 279, which matches my highest game to date. However, then throwing a turkey to start my 3rd game is what landed me the Varipapa 300. If I could have only had the 3rd frame back where I left the solid 10 pin...
Overall, it was a solid night for just the second week of the season. 236-279-225 for a 740. The balls of choice were the Outlaw (first 9 frames of game 1), Frantic (all of game 2 except the last fill ball in the 10th), and then opened the lanes up more with the Critical Theory in game 3 since I wanted to get more into the oil.
So with that being said, how many have ended up with the Andy Varipapa 300?

My first one was in high school, where I had 20 in a row stopped by a stone 9. spare 11 for 290 and then 9 stone 9, spare, strike for 279. Games went 217-290-279=786....Ball of choice, Columbia Wine U-Dot, 16 lb, first leverage weighted ball of my career.

Up until last season, my max had been 16. Always the Last 8 / first 8. Had a few of them. Then, Last year, I had a 280 (Last 10), then 289 (First 10 with a stone 8 in the 11th). What really bothered my was not being able to get my 4th 800. Finished with a 227/795.

My best one doesnt come in league play it was in tourney qualifying.

I've rolled more Varipapa 300's than "proper" ones.

I did nearly the same back in 1996 for my first true 300 and a Varipapa.
doubles league, 4 game set. 238 for the first game, with the back 6. True 300 the second game. front 7 the 3rd game for a 216, finished off the night with 202.
Used a Columbia Pearl Quake the entire night.
