300's are rarley given..you have to earn it. If you don't like it go bust your rear practicing. It's been 9 years since I've joined a league and alot of hard practicing and wasn't until last summer I went from being a decent 190 average bowler to alot higher then that. Things either fall in place or you practice more. It wasn't until last July I bowled my first 299 leaving a 10 pin.
And it wasn't until last Friday I bowled my first perfect game. I still have the high from it and was the most exiting thing ever in my life. I showed up at a league knowing a guy I knew out of state. It was 1996 and all I had was a 14 lb AMF Bobcat urethane and I didn't know what I was doing. It was alot of hard work and self teaching( no coaching )that helped me. MOst of the bowlers that I have seen get 300's are good to great bowlers. Only a couple times I've seen 180 ish or under average bowlers do it. Is there luck in it? Sure. I got two freakin brooklyns on my 300 but oh well. What if I was to tell you my 299 had every ball nearly in the hole but was on a much easier condition. What if I told you when I arrived at league I saw 10 teenagers throwing plastic house balls I would have thought tonight would have been the night? I'm not taking it back for anything and very proud of what I did. The good thing of coming out of the 299 is with my 300 I got to shoot it in the house I wanted to insted of a part time house, and on the league I wanted to which it more competitive and harder then my night before league.
