The Search AKA Particle Pearl?
« on: July 14, 2019, 02:33:21 PM »
I am just curious if anyone still makes symmetrical true particle pearl? Advertised or otherwise..Any Brand.  My favorite of all time was the RSP by Roto Grip. This was a low RG high diff ball that the particles smoothed out. I kept mine polished. Just curious if there is a "modern" equivalent... Thank you

Mo Pinel says they now call them Additives.  Some of his pearls seem to be smoother off the break which particles were compared to their competitors.

One of the best of his new balls I have seen is the Squatch pearl,

Also, the ball is drilled with a special pin down drilling I call the LuckyL !

Awesome powerful and smooth!

Sincerely,

Luckylefty
PS I have an AMF Radar Alert aroung.  Still pretty nice for that Pearl Particle smooth move!

The Squatch Pearl is more so their Idol Pearl equivalent. Great ball, but not particle like at all.

In my opinion, the 900 Global Eon will fit the bill. You could go with a slightly stronger layout than what you had on your previous RSP to get the diff closer. Nothing elae that I've seen in recent years rolls like a particle pearl more than this one (especiallly the ones that had higher diffs).

Lane Masters - Legends line. Check out California Bowling LLC and you will find what you are looking for. And no decoding device needed, they actually call them Particles unlike the other companies that are afraid to say that word.....

Yup! I'd have to agree with this assessment. definitely particle-esque!

The best particle pearl I ever owned was the Defiant Edge! I loved that ball.

My second favorite particle pearl was the Mystic! That ball won me a lot of money at Nationals!

Sure, but what balls that are out now fit that role? Sure isn't the Halo, Idol, or Super Son!Q.

Not a pearl, but the Phase 2 gives me a look on modern oils very similar to what I use to get from particle zones 15-20 years ago.  With some lane polish it acts much like a particle pearl

Marvel Pearl always seemed like the most particle pearl like ball recently released by Storm/Roto but gone again.  As far as other brands the Statement Pearl, Rip'D pearl and other CFI pearls from Hammer might be worth looking into as technically particle and can handle the soup.

scandal pearl?

I would say yes.  My SP definitely generates more friction in mid lane oil (at least on house) than my Creed even though Creed has stronger core (and reacts a little stronger to dry friction on the backend).

BowlersMart is selling a Dyno-Thane Vendetta Particle Pearl

info:

Revenge Particle Pearl coverstock. Yes Particle Pearl! This cover combination was a must have when we were getting revenge on people in the early 2000’s and we are bringing it back to settle the score. The pearl cover provides easy clearing of the fronts and low load particle cover gets it to pick up providing you the best of both worlds. Length, midlane and backend all in one ball ready to get revenge.

We needed a versatile core to live up to the past Vendettas that were loved by many for strong rolling predictability. We nailed it with this Caliber core. This core enables players of all styles to get a great reaction and will enable pro shop professionals many options for fine tuning ball reaction.

COLOR:Bruiser Purple

COVER: Revenge Mica Particle Pearl

CORE:Caliber .45

RG MIN: 2.48

DIFFERENTIAL :0.045

FACTORY FINISH:1500 Abralon with Factory FInish
