Title: Thumb hurts

Ok Im having a problem with my the left side of my thumb nail when i bowl. When i release the ball i feel the tip of my thumb rubbing on the inside of the thumb whole. My span is 4 13/16 and4 7/8s I currently am using 1/4 left and 1/4 rev pitch. What can i change to solve this problem ??

left side of your thumb when it is pointing up or down?

when my thumb is pointing up its the left side that hurts

I'd go with 3/8 reverse

i'd offset the thumbhole a bit right if it was defintely the release stage that  was the problem, and not gripping in the rest of the swing.
