EXCEL 2013 FORMULA
« on: September 16, 2017, 01:04:07 PM »
Does anyone have the formula to track what one would have to roll to decrease their average by one pin?  The formula I use will be dead on the money to show an increase in average by one pin, but the decrease by one pin is totally off.
I track all my averages and everything associated with bowling in my own spreadsheet, but cannot get the average to work that shows what one would have to roll to show a decrease in average for the next week of bowling.

Thanks,

It's the same formula, just use minus one instead of plus one.

To raise average by one pin =((current Number of games+3)X(current average+1))-current total pins

Sandbagger forumula:
To lower average by one pin =((current Number of games+3)X(current average-1))-current total pins

The same, just change the -1 to a -2 or whatever number you wish to lower it by.
