Missing USBC award
« on: June 02, 2014, 08:35:02 AM »
Find myself in an odd situation.  Honor awards are fun to get, but I can't say I pay much attention to them.  All my rings are on a couple keychains in a drawer somewhere, haven't seen the light of day for a while.  However, when they started offering the crystal awards for the 300 and 800 this year, I really liked the look of both.  I just got a ring for my 300 early in the year, they didn't have the updated awards sheet yet, and the 300 trophy looked close enough to the 11 in a row trophy, so I just got the ring.  However, when I got the 800 in late January, I ordered the trophy, thought it would be nice to display in the shop or something.  Got an email a week or so later saying they were on backorder and were expected to ship in early March.  Got an email in mid-March saying it had been shipped.  Never showed up.  Sent an email only to hear that they were still on backorder, so I said ok, no problem.  Never heard back so I sent something about 3 weeks ago saying it still wasn't here, was told it would get looked into and somebody would get back to me.  Haven't heard a word.

Just find it odd that even though I'm not a big fan of the rings, quality has gone down quite a bit over the last decade or so, if one of those had gotten lost I'd have just left it alone.  Lol I really want this trophy though, it's nice.  I might have just bought one if I didn't happen to get a free one this year.  Anybody else had to deal with USBC over a missing award?  So far it's not going so hot, but I also can't say I've been super aggressive getting it resolved.  I have no doubts I'll get it, and honestly I've gotten probably 30+ honor awards and this is the first one that's ever been lost, so I'm not exactly up in arms about it, but beside my first 300 ring, this is probably the one I'm most excited about lol . .
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?

Hang in there, the crystal 800 trophy is very nice. I was surprised at how small it was, but it's still pretty cool. The 300 crystal doesn't look as nice as the 11 in a row award in my opinion.

Glad I got all three this year before they stopped giving them to us repeat offenders!  ;D
