I'd like to thank Pchee2 for his help.  He made a couple of calls and "Bingo" I had a new Lane 1 Blueberry 'Saw.  Ran into him at Homestead Lanes (I'd only met him once before) and we talked bowling stuff.  He found out that I'm  a geezer that is in need of another bowling ball like I need another colon polyp, but I coveted the Lane 1 Berry.  The proshop owner, Steve, didn't seem too interested in trying to order me one (he said "why not order online?") but he went along with Pchee2 making the call.  Pchee also told Steve about a deal that Lane 1 was making to proshops on the Blueberry and Viper.  Thanks a lot , Pchee2!

Well SAWBONES .. I guess you see something I don't .. I thought OS was thanking him for something .. I also read PCHEE2 is involved in charity work and helping out kids .. I don't remember PCHEE2 calling BOWLERS dummies .. but I'm sure he did some place .. is that what you're referring too?

There are those who talk about being THE BEST and there are those who do BEST .. PCHEE2 appears to be DOING GOOD. I like to accent the POSITIVES .. forgive me if I don't see things from your perspective ...

Joe I've noticed that sawbones is one of the most negative people I have ever met.  For some reason he's always talking about the negatives rather than the positives.  What a poor attitude.   Yes its true I called bowlers dummies but if one is really not dumb they will not take offense to it.  Sawbones has taken great offense to me calling bowlers a bunch of dummies so I guess the shoe fits him well.  I always wondered why sawbones brags about being a hall of fame bowler yet he asks the most elementary bowling questions that any nit wit knows.  I guess he just fits the bowling stereotype.  Don't let people like Sawbones ruin your positive attitude in life.  I've tried to help Sawbones but he just doesn't get it so I look past his mental incapacity with hope that one day he will say or do something positive.  That time has yet to come.

but it should be since it is played by people with less money than those who play golf.

SAWBONES .. so the simple answer to my question is .. YOU ARE CLASSIFYING ALL OF THOSE BOWLERS AND NOT YOU .. I always have to thank you for your thoughts .. you must have had a tough life .. always trying your best to get others BENEATH you .. my heart goes out to you .. I'd hate to hear what you think of minorities .. PEACE BE WITH YOU my friend!

Joe: First, I want to say that I agree with your thoughts on pchee2. The man is extremely personable and helpful. I've done business with pchee, and he conducts himself with nothing but integrity. And the man is smart. He's certainly ahead of me, and I can only hope to attain a fraction of what he knows about bowling. I'm not afraid to admit this.

Having said all this, you're off base about Sawbones. Yes, he's stubborn and reluctant to embrace new ideas, but in many cases he speaks the truth, and frankly that can hurt. The fact is that bowlers, in general, are cheap and not really that bright when it comes to their sport.

Instead of taking offense to this very true statement, think about embracing it and asking how you can improve yourself if it applies personally to you. We've already established that you have the cheap gene. And if you're honest, you have to admit you have alot to learn about bowling. We all do.

Finally, I have a problem with your concluding statement:

I've been on this site a long time (long, long before you first posted) and Sawbones has never shown a slant in this area. The man has always been a gentleman on the board, so you might want to reconsider this statement.

Joe,

Sawbones is a lost cause.  I've been fighting with his negative attitude for 2 years on this site and it hasn't changed one bit.  He's still a sour puss.  He's one that likes to boast and brag about his accomplishments while throwing stones at others.  He's just one selfish self centered bitter individual that speaks highly of himself and downplays others.  In his own mind he's a legend while others are peasants.  I feel sorry for him.  And I wouldn't have used him as my doctor either.  He's probably one of those doctors that will say I need an operation when I have the common cold just so he can line his pockets at the my expense.  I hope one day that he sees the light but I don't think that's going to happen.

STEVEN .. I have tried to keep up a conversation with you before .. and although SAWBONES is of the opinion that most bowlers are DUMMIES .. I'm afraid I have LEARNED .. the only comment that I can leave you with is .. " I agree that we disagree" ..
