Reminder: ESPN2 NCAA Womens Championship, Today
« on: April 16, 2017, 03:32:06 PM »
Just a reminder that ESPN2 has the NCAA Womens Championship on today at 5pm AZ time.  That might be 8pm Eastern if it is broadcast at the same time.

Minor rant:  My Tivo did not record the PBA show today even though I had a One Pass set up.  Apparently, it now treats each PBA broadcast as a separate show, so the One Pass no longer works like it used to.

It was Live on ESPNU last night at 6:30 Eastern.  It is a good show and definitely worth watching.

Saw it last night. Do watch it. Nice commentary from Kelly Kulick.

Agree, Kelly does a great job.  Far superior to Randy Pederson.  She brings as much expertise and technical know how as Carolyn Dorin-Ballard, but communicates it much more effectively.  CDB can get locked into "bowling speak" that can get lost on casual viewer.

It will be on again at least 4 more times this week. I had my DVR record it on Saturday, after watching the qualifying and bracket play all week on the NCAA's site.

And you're right. Kelly does great commentary.. plus it didn't help that around 20 years ago, she was one of those girls on the lanes, so she's definitely calling up past experience to help her with the play-by-play.

Really?  I greatly prefer CDB, Kelly gets too wooden and formal, feels to me like she tries too hard.  Carolyn seems like she has more fun doing it, it flows better and seems more natural because it's just her, Kelly seems like she's trying to play a part or be someone else.

Personally, I would pick either lady over randy, as mentioned above. You feel like you can learn and understand things a little better, and they bring some charisma to their commentary.
