If you have to pay for the ball and pay retail for the plug and redrill, probably not.  This was the second ball in the Rhino Pro line.  Big hooker when it came out, but keep in mind that we still had urethane balls mixed into our arsenals then.  It will fit into your bag as probably the weakest ball you have.

Are you sure the Green Angle isn't a Gray that has turned colors to have a greenish tint?  If so, this will be a durable spare ball.  It was a weak ball in the 80's when it was new.

The only Rhinos worth buying are the teal and gold.

Some folks also like the purple.  But I can vouch for the Teal and Gold.  I have both and they still kill it on the THS. 

Whatever you're buying, make sure it's the Rhino Pro and not the regular Rhino, as the latter has only a pancake core.  You should post a pic of the ball you're looking at.  Sometimes the teals and the blue turn a greenish color after years of use. A good resurface fixes that.

I can vouch for the Purple Rhino Pro.  That ball worked matched my game well back in juniors.  However, the Teal was something special.  I was able to use that successfully when I needed to open the lane up even more.

I was just curious as to what it might be like.  There's one of each sitting in the storage basement at the local bowling alley.  Not sure it's a pro or not, didn't get much chance to look at it.   The lighting wasn't great, but the Rhino was green (or maybe teal) and the Angle looked green, could have been that old gray color.  The guy running the counter said it'd be probably $10 per ball, then i'd have to find a place to get them plugged/drilled.

The teal green Rhino was the first successful resin ball from Brunswick.  It was a great ball for many people.  A bit tamer than the Excalibers, it was a great ball on the oil patterns that were shorter and lower volume than we see today.    They also came out with a powder blue urethane Rhino at the same time.  It was an excellent urethane, but it mostly got lost in the stampede to resin balls.
