What is the name of the balls you are throwing this year and also what shot have you notice to be working better than normal....

Spider Pearl - AKA - Black Widow
Freak - AKA - Freak Out
Icon - AKA Icon

This year I am forced to throw a down end and pray the ball comes back...
I hate no backend shots.. I think they are out to get me - Doing a good job...  :-)

Since im now im college i am limited in what i could bring to league. I only took with me up here a No Mercy Beatn', Whirl Wind, The Buzz and an Ogre.

My ogre probably is what i use most. Second would be the Beatn', then the Buzz and finally the Whirl Wind

Let's see...

Toxic - used it for less than a game, shot was too dry and I haven't used it since.

X-Zone Hi Diff. - It's been a go to ball when the heads start going.  Love the high durometer pearl reactive coverstock.

Black Cherry Bomb - pretty much my benchmark ball

Archon - New first out of the bag ball, can just slowly bump left all night for the most part.  Rare on this shot.  (followed this ball with my Ravage one night to regain carry, worked pretty well)

Tropical Storm - Shot was so dry one night I had to move to this halfway through the first game.  Glad we were a bowler short and bowling the ghost team.

C/2 Blueberry - haven't brought it along much since the lanes are generally drier than this ball prefers.  Kinda overlaps with the BCB.

Lane #1 Carbide - used it a few times after I bought it, but this shot doesn't really require a ball this aggressive.

That's only about half of what I could be using...

Haha, Ryan, I agree. Actually, you'd be fine with the plastic only, or maybe a lignum vitae ball...

When I make it to the land of actual oil on the lanes, I use my NHP, my Creature, and my Blue Dot. Back home in Chitown, I throw in a Heist and, soon, a TBD (either a Break or 'Nsane LevRG, when it's released in November).

Limited choices, wife would not spring for a new ball this year.

WhirlWind & The One

The WW seems to be a bit more versatile, handling a larger range of conditions fairly well, but The One carries much better when it hits the right conditions.  Lately, the WW is getting the bulk of the work due to the shorter patterns they seem to be putting out for my league.
