Trail leg up or down on release and follow through?

Those that have their trail leg in the air ie. Walter Ray, have their trail leg on the floor at the release and up on the follow through. I find it easier to keep it on the floor at all times, it helps me stay down instead of popping up and pulling the ball.

As long as you're balanced and solid at the line, it likely doesn't matter.  Personally, I find that having the trailing leg on the ground gives me a more solid base and allows me to deliver shots in a more accurate fashion.

On the approach will prevent you leaning too far forward and lose leaverage.

When I was younger the leg was way up. Now older and considerably larger I keep it down.

I try to keep it down, but... I don't always succeed.
