Just want to share with fellow bowlers

I went to my league meeting last night. This is a new league and I was impressed. Everyone voted to have three different oil pattern. This is good, some league put down the same pattern.I believe this will make everyone improve as a bowler. As you can expect, there were some opposed. But majority won.I told some of them,if you compete at another house or tournament it will help your game.

That's good Melvin. I wish I were in a league that did that. The only thing I would suggest is they use each pattern the same number of times during the season, but mix it up so you don't know which one to expect when you get there.

So are they going to tell you what the pattern is every week or just surprise you? It sounds interesting but I bowl in a midnight league already that has different conditions every week(not on purppose or so they say).
I love hearing the whining every week.

This summer I bowled a sport shot league that was like that- 5 different patterns, each varied from week to week, and then they also tweaked the volume of oil placed on the lanes for each shot. Challenging would be the best way to describe the bowling, I think the high average in the league with one week to go is 189 (I'm sitting at 179).
