Those who can't bowl, bowl with two hands.

I have 18 old-school bowling balls from my deceased dad for those wondering why I havee more than 25. They have a significantly different shape from the modern bowling balls I own. I don't have the opportunity to buy multiple balls a year. If I am lucky, I may get 2 or three a year. All I am saying is that the rule does not seem fair that one-handed bowlers can have "two" weight holes. I don't even use radical layouts. I won't even care when I get my stuff changed.
Anyways, what about the radical layouts for two handed bowlers? For an example: the motion hole.

I have 2 asymmetrical balls, A Radical Reax Pearl and a 900 Global Network drilled with a weight hole and a thumb on both balls, By the new rule these 2 balls wont be legal for me to throw with out my thumb in either ball do to the 2 weight holes they will have.. I drilled up both NIB balls the same way but with out the weigth hole ( just shifted the CG back a little towards the middle of my span) to replace them and threw them both last night in league. I did not see much of a difference if any on the way the old balls rolled compaired to the way the new balls rolled, so I decided to throw 1 of the new balls with just 2 finger holes and a thumb hole( which is now the weight hole for the new ruling as of aug 1sy ) I also drilled it so IM still able to put my thumb in the ball and the ball would still remain legal either way I deside to throw it ( with or with out my thumb )   its not a very big issue by the way the new rule is as of AUG 1st.  had a 247 with 2 opens ( a 9 pin and a 7-10 split ) also had a 255 and 258.
If you want it, go after it and make it happen.  If you don't, you have no one to blame but yourself....or maybe your just not throwing the right equipment  :)

You're missing the point. You could have 125 bowling balls....you aren't bringing them all to the lanes every day. They aren't part of your arsenal. You may only have to fix 4-5 that you throw all the time now. The rest can wait and be taken care of over time. Skip a Starbucks coffee once a week and you can get one done every month. Skip eating out once a week, same thing. You act like you have to get them all changed tomorrow. Do them in order of importance, or by how often you throw them. It's not the end of the world or the end of two-handed bowling.

We don't get two weight holes we get balence hole and a thumb hole.

Ughhh you're missing the point! Do you not see that it is kinda unfair that I am unable to throw them period? I never did anything that gives m an advantage I didn't give myself I get the whole just plug them", but remember everybosy does not have the same resources as yourself.
Update: I worked on a new grip that allows me to put my thumb in the ball. It works pretty much the same. I just feel there was another way to prevent unfair layots. Like an earlier post, every bowler that uses a ball with a weight hole technically has 2 weight holes after they throw it. Just my .02 cents...

The two weight hole argument holds no water. First if you think that way then every conventionally drilled ball has at least 3 weight holes after throwing and if you have a balance hole and/or extra finger holes you have more.

The point of a balance hole is to bring the ball into static balance after drilling gripping holes. If you don't use a thumb hole for gripping purpose and you have an extra hole to bring it into static balance then technically you have 2 weight holes in the ball that allows you to drill the finger holes where you want them.

Personally I don't care.

Other than a few freaks on TV I haven't seen anyone locally that throws without a thumb that I'm scared of. And there have been no thumbers around here for about 25 years.

Just drill a thumb hole for a switch grip, but do not insert switch grip, just lay your thumb into the large hole. As someone who bowles both ways it works just as well as not putting your thumb in. So f#@$$ you usbc for wasting our time.
