Lane pattern
« on: March 10, 2006, 10:21:41 PM »
My house just got the new Sanction machine.  The owner printed out a graph showing the pattern.  He was trying to duplicate the shot his old century put down.

Thought maybe some of the experts could tell us what the pattern is, how to best attack it.

1.  Total oil 17.52ML.  Is this heavy, medium, light?

2.  Ratio 20-2R, 5.33
3.  Ratio 20-5R, 1.67
4.  Ratio 20-10R 1.0

total boards crossed, 684

Looking at the chart, we have forward oil pretty much across the lane to about the 20' mark.  It then looks like the oil stops around 32', then buffed to 40'.

Doesn't look like a christmas tree or a top hat.

Is this enough info.  I'm not smart enough to down load the pattern on here.

We've only had the machine about a week, scores are down slightly, high house average in any league is 209.

Volume is on the low side, the ratios you show are a little flat for a THS but need more info such as lane surface and the program loads.

It would be more helpful for me if you could post the loads and speeds.  That way I can see it in my verion of KOSI.  What machine do you have Kustiodian, Kustodian Plus, K- Ion, Sanction Standard, Pheonix-S?
Ex. Oil per board 40mil- Pattern distance 41
Forward
2-2 3 14
8-8 2 14
10-10 3 18
11-11 2 18
12-12 3 22
2-2 0 22 buff to 34
2-2 0 26 buff to 41

Reverse
2-2 0 26 to 32
13-13 2 26
12-12 2 22
10-10 2 18
9-9   1 18
8-8   1 14
2-2   0 14 to 0

That is only an example of a pattern similar to mine off of the top of my head but its pretty close.  That is just to give you an idea of what im looking for as far as your information.

You also may want to post on www.bowltech.com they have a lane maintence section that is very helpful.  Very good info on that site.

Thanks guys.  Sorry, wouldn't even know where to look for that info.  Only shots that seem to work here is slow speeds way outside or hi rev between 3-4 arrows.  Us tweeners seem to have to split boards on each shot.

Ask the owner to print out the overhead view.  That has all of the number's that is needed to understand the pattern.  You have the composite graph which shows the ratio but without the other info it doesn't show how much oil is on the heads, mids and further down the lane.
The owner should be able to print that out for you if he printed the composite.
Thanks,
Rob
