League Dummy Team
« on: September 18, 2013, 07:42:00 AM »
Are league this year is down a team and we have to have a dummy team to even things out, this is the first time we've had to do this and I was wondering what do your league's do as far as how you bowl against the dummy team. Do you have to beat 80 or 90 percent of your team average or do you bowl 100 percent of your team average? And what do you do about handicap?

Our league requires you to bowl within 10 pins of your average per bowler to win the individual point.  So that would be within 50 pins of the team average to win the team points.

Ex.
If everyone on a 5 man team has a 200 average, they would each have to shoot at least 190 scratch to win their point.  The team as a whole would need to shoot 950 scratch to win the team points.

There are no ties.  Shoot 190=win, shoot 189=loss

In our league you have to bowl your average, or better in order to win the points.

A little bit different, but essentially the same as above.
Some days you're the bug....some days you're the windshield...that's bowling!
