Title: USBC logo on balls...
Post by: BrianCRX90 on July 18, 2005, 11:08:02 AM
Question.
If USBC really wants to put thier logo on santioned bowling balls what would stop them from forcing a registration fee on balls? PBA does it. I hope I didn't give them the idea for it and bowling balls will cost 300 each.

Nothing.  If the ball manufacturers want their equipment to be legal for USBC competition, they would be compelled to pay that fee, which would doubtless be passed on to the consumer.

Assuming the USBC survives foolish moves like that.  While the organization may continue, I have a hard time believing that those in charge will stay that way for long if the bowlers and manufacturers don't agree with it.
