Using 1 ball all season

I've been off regular league bowling for 2 years but back this season. Last couple seasons average dropped below 200 :(. 100% due to bad performance. This year unless the lanes change radically or my ball dies or cracks in half I plan on using the same ball all year every game. An old low game AMF TNT I think, it has the blem Bonanza logo. The ball is very smooth and reacts predictable on over/under house shot.  I want to focus on adjusting and making good shots than constantly switch balls. It's a trio league, the lanes don't transition much and the house shot is fresh every week. Sometimes I think constantly trying different balls when I'm not bowling well compounds the problem.  Not counting spare ball for 10 pins.

Yep looks like the MOjave is going to be that ball for me in the dry house. What a gem that ball is. Amazing carry and consistency and doesnt require many moves during the night.  Keep it simple stupid for me.

EA Bowl in Dublin CA has a same ball league in the summer. Everyone uses the same ball and it's provided by the league for a reduced price. Usually it's some discontinued or about to be discontinued Brunswick(Including Radical, DV8) ball. One ball, no plastic for spares either.

Don't even want to think how difficult this would be at the ball return.

What I was hoping for is for the bowler to pick ANY ball they want and use it all the time, not that everyone used the same ball.

So who keeps track of who is using what ball? Someone would have to check against a list, right? Every week?

Sounds like a major pain in the ass. And if their ball cracks and is older and can't be replaced? How would that be handled?

Your idea sounds like a league officer nightmare to run.  ;D

I guess my idea assumes bowlers have an ounce of integrity, and would join such league for a challenge.

Everything is a potential nightmare with bowlers that whine about things that may, or may not, happen.
 
If a ball cracks deal with it.  If a bowler gets hurt trying to make Ball A do something it can't do, you deal with it.
 
Every league has a board of directors (comprised of team captains) that can meet for 3 minutes and handle things.
