during leagues. how many of you or know someone that does this?

lately balls be returing from the belts all black skid marked...

I find these marks on my track and im not sure if it really affects ball reaction, but it's starting to bug me mentally..

I use our cleaner, Remedy RX, on every strike shot. I spray it into a towel and wipe the oil off. I was hassled by a group of people I was bowling better than....so I carry the rules section regarding cleaners, the list of approved cleaners and also a letter from the USBC which states that players can use approved cleaners on their towels in between shots.

If you are spraying and wiping between every shot, maybe they are upset at how long it takes you to bowl... Just sayin  ;D

I spray it into the towel before I get up from the chair. I wipe, set and deliver faster than most people move to aim their feet. I think every league has THAT ONE GUY...who is on the approach for two minutes...and I am not that guy. :-)

I tried this morning to find those rules on the USBC website. But with now success or time. I want to carry it with me just in case ppl start trip'n...

Milo, I don't think he takes 25-30 seconds like this guy at leagues. We still haven't bowled his team, but when we do, I'll break out my kindle and a blanket  haha

Yea, I had a doubles partner last year that took 30-45 seconds every time. And that was after he got set up on the approach. I finally had to show him the math, but he still did it anyway. He does it this year again, but he ain't my partner anymore.

Rule 18 specifies the rules about bowling balls and altering surfaces.  In the commonly asked question portion (18/1) they detail the rule about cleaners.
