Weak cover Strong finish ball
« on: November 25, 2018, 05:47:00 PM »
Hi
Over the years ive usually asked for the strongest cover and drill it strong. Since ive watched the Bowling acadamy i think i could look at balls with a weak cover that will go a lot longer and still finish strong. Can you give me some suggestions on the makes of these balls. Im a senior 74 with still a good ave 210 not a lot of revs i normally play down and in as i dont have the hand to stand left. Thanks in advance

The Radical Zeno pearl comes to mind. Tons of length with a very defined breakpoint.

Your going to want to take a look at the Hammer Web Tour. So smooth, so predictable, easy to find and stay in the pocket

Hy-Road if on house shot.  High RG 2 piece with a weaker hybrid cover that goes fairly long and finishes like a beast.  Not a true skid flip per say (Hy-Road pearl more is) but just the ultimate house shot killer even for us lower rev guys.  Might also take a look at the Venom balls from Motiv as they are weaker coverstocks that go long and finish strong and are super versatile as well.

I have been pretty impressed with the Honey Badger.  Almost the definition of what you asked for.   Suoer clean down the lane, but very strong off the break point.

Marvel pear!!. Clean through the fronts, with a strong, smooth, continual move off the spot.

Do not pick up any DV8 Misfits!  I want them ALL!

IN my home house the bain of my existence for several years has been 10 pins for this lefty.

The combination of very little midlane oil outside of 15 and led to almost 3 10pins a game on average for years.  With nearly every combination of cores and covers.

Now steps in a new shot(wider) and the weak covered misfit(Class 1 reactive).  I am playing farther left and watching this rounded shape green orb wipe nearly every 10 pin off the alley.  Skids like reactive, and slurves like Urethane!  Some days almost unfair.

TY DV8!

PS and some house shot type tournament conditions have felt it's wrath!  TY also!
