Title: Welcome back Brad Angelo and WRWJ
Post by: tommyboy74 on November 05, 2012, 06:02:33 PM
Looks like we will see Brad Angelo for the first time in a while.  In fact, he came back in a huge way.  First, he buys a bowling center during the summer and now he earned the #1 spot in the Viper Championship.

Now we haven't seen WRWJ on tv in a while either.  Maybe this will be the start of a good year for him as he has taken the early lead in the Chameleon Championship.

Yes he is, and it would be great to see him back winning again.

Looking through some of the qualifying stories, Rhino Page is back in the hunt with the Chameleon Championship as well.  Even more interesting is that Scott Norton (Motiv), Mike Scroggins (EBI) and Eugene McCune (EBI) are both using Storm.  Now, Scott Norton won his only title using a RG Mutant Cell, whereas Eugene McCune and Mike Scroggins have both been with EBI for several years now.  I wonder if all 3  have become free agents able to use any ball company they choose.  Here's the links to show that:

Brad Angelo has been using Storm/Roto Grip ever since leaving Brunswick.

Walter Ray was back with Brunswick this summer and dominated the Senior tour by some surprising amounts!

He mostly used the Nexxus and Versa Max.  I was amazed at some of his matchplay dominance on tougher patterns.

During this WSOB McCune used a Mission on Cheetah and was wearing a Columbia 300 jersey (if I remember correctly).  During the other 3 tourneys though, he was using Storm/Roto and wearing Storm jerseys.

...I was psyched to see 4 lefties in the top 24 this year (Bohn, Page, Scroggins, and Miller).  I'm glad the conditions were such where they didn't get shut out.

...Watching the World Championship matchplay rounds on Xtra Frame was ridiculous.  Pete Weber had 855 for a 3 game block on Wednesday and Parker Bohn had a 815 for a 3 game block on Wednesday and a 817 3 game block last night.  Bohn averaged 272 over that 6 game span to make it on to the show.  These guys are so good!

5 lefties...I left Norton out by mistake.  I was rooting for him to make it.

Mr. Brad Angelo is one of my favorites! He is just so down to earth and grounded. I am glad he is doing well.

Brad's a good guy.  I joined up on a team at his bowling center this year and it's nice to see him around, being just like the rest of us.  He and his family are some of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet.  The league I'm in has a bunch of good guys as well.
