Sorry to say another bowling center has closed down here in Michigan. Westland Lanes, in Westland MI. has closed. The center had 60 lanes. the place was in need of some updates like new carpet and etc. It just needed to be freshened up. I don't have any specifics about why it closed. I hope our league can find another alley to bowl in. Just another bowling loss for all of us.

Sad to see it close...give a call to Vision as they just installed new Qubica Scoring....
-
NO WAY, are you kidding me? I can't believe it..
-
60 lanes, eh? That's a big to center to be closing. Too bad. Hope a new owner can be found & the upgrades made. Good luck.

Ever since Midge died, the place has gone downhill. Henry Capaldi is rolling over in his grave. Not sure if Phil & Marty are still around these days. Maybe the "Phil-Mar Plaza" shopping center also on the property will carry on.

Have your league officers contact the owner at Wayne Bowl. Nice shot, friendly staff, and great lineage rates. His name is Mike Lucente. He will work with your league to make it enjoyable. I have bowled there since he bought the center in 2005.

The league officers are looking at Oak and Super Bowl lanes. I believe they are leaning twords oak lanes.

Phil passed away Dec 2006, Marty lives in Muskegon MI. Westlands down fall was Mike Capaldi. R.I.P. Phil and Henry

I remember Mike working at Oak Lanes in the early to mid '80's. He would be in his early to mid '50's now. I forgot his older brother's name who also was at Oak.

Does anyone know where the pro shop owner moved?
-
Was this one of the many AMF centers that have closed in the last couple of months?
-
No this was not a amf center, I guess the owner decided to close the doors on this center. I also am afraid I don't know where the pro shop owner is, maybe someone else can help.

I heard Todd is working with Aleta Sills shop
