What are your plans for next year?
« on: May 02, 2007, 05:21:21 AM »
Bowl the same leagues.

Bowl more leagues.

Bowl fewer leagues.

Bowl longer leagues.

Bowl shorter leagues.

I'm planning to give up the 30+ week grind and try to find a shorter league that runs anytime between Nov 1 and Mar 1.

I feel ya there. It took us 9 guys this year to keep a team there every week - and we were still bowling with only 4 people probably 1/3 of the time.  It gets to ya, you try not to let it, but when you're ticked about irresponsible teammates it's hard to focus on your game and really care about the outcome.
Then the poor bowling adds insult to injury...

One league we had 10 games forfeit and to finishe the last 6 weeks I hd to roster a permanent sub. just to meet the 2 person requirement.  Other league 5 person - we have bowled with only 3 over half the season and had all 5 maybe 5 weeks of 33.

This year I bowled only in a singles league and didn't get to practice much

Next year
One Men's league in the summer
Hopefully the singles league and a larger roster (something like 6 bowlers for a 4 person team) more recreational league to try and keep a little sharper.

During the summer- 1 PBA experience league in another house I only bowl in the summer (due to the distance and the harsh winters up in the Northeast).

I'll also try to bowl a couple of NEBA tournaments and other scratch tournaments on the weekends if I can during the summer

Fall: Mondays 5 man league in my local house, Wednesdays singles league in the house closer to work- same as last year.

Dropping 2 of the leagues I bowled this year. Returning to college so I just wont have the time. However if we can enough people and get the suppport of the college some friends and I are trying to get a bowling team for Boise State University together. If so I will bowl for them. Otherwise 2 leagues and that is it.

At this point, the same as this year.  Two leagues, 1 is a 5 man team on a THS.  The other is a 2 man sport league.

I will sub in a league and that is only so that i can go to the state tournament. This will go on for a few years and then back to a full time bowler.

I am going to have back surgery this summer. I can only hope I will be able to bowl this fall.
